Pine Grove Happenings 8/23/2021
Sunday, August 22nd Joys:
Hilda Snuggs – I want to thank all the women of the church who provided a wonderful and beautifully presented meal for my sister-in-law’s, Betty Ruth Burleson’s, family.
Bonnie Burleson – Along with Hilda, I would like to thank all those who helped with the Betty Ruth Burleson meal.
Also, we fed the West Stanly High School Football team on Friday. There were about 50 people in all and I would like to thank all those who helped prepare and serve that meal too! The Team and Coach were very appreciative.
Pastor Ron – Jonathan had three more tests scheduled at Duke last week and two were completed. The third was postponed to this Wednesday and if it all goes well we hope and pray he will be added to the transplant list within 48 hours after results are in.

Covid Update for August –
The Covid Task Force met at 6pm on Wednesday August 4th to discuss the recent increase in Covid cases in Stanly county and recommendations for gatherings. After discussion the following recommendations were made for our worship and fellowship time together.
We will ask everyone to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet between family units. We recommend that everyone regardless of vaccination status wear a mask during worship and fellowship as well as meetings. We will limit singing and the choir will not wear masks while singing.
*Second Harvest Food Truck – Tuesday, August 31
On Tuesday, August 31 at 8:30 am Pine Grove UMC will be sponsoring the Second Harvest Food Truck at the Agri-Civic Center.
