Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ;
I want to open by thanking you for your prayers and support during Jackie’s hospitalization. I want to praise God for His love and healing.
I want to acknowledge the pain we all feel at the senseless killing in nation. I want to acknowledge the pain we all feel as prices continue to increase on everything, we use daily.
I pray for the families who have lost loved ones and those whose lives have been shattered by the senseless violence. Lord in your mercy hear our prayers.
I pray for those who do not know how they will afford a car, gas, housing, medication or groceries. Lord in your mercy hear our prayers.
I pray for parents and children who feel insecure, even where safety has always been assumed. Lord in your mercy hear our prayers.
I pray for God’s people to have courage, wisdom and spiritual guidance to help bring our community to God for His healing, mercy and grace. Lord in your mercy hear our prayers.
Because the world needs Jesus, we need to find ways to reach our community as Romans 5:8 tells us, “God shows His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Jesus died for us.” That grace extended to us must be extended beyond us to our community and the next generations.
How is God calling you to witness to your gift from Him?
VBS is a great opportunity to bring Jesus to another generation. We need folks inviting folks and helping everyone feel welcome.
Jesus is the prescription for the worlds pain and suffering. You and I are the modality to deliver the prescription. So, let’s get going!
Yours in Christ
