Pine Grove Happenings 10/17/2022

Sunday, October 16th Joys:
     Dave Howard – For those of us who haven’t thought about living in Afghanistan, it’s Sunday morning. We’ve come together as a community, Christian community without the threat of death. If that ain’t a joy, I don’t know one. Amen. Amen.
     Keith Burleson – I just like to thank everybody for all the work they did on the ribs and the barbeque.  We came out here on Thursday night, six o’clock. We did over 100 ribs, and was through by seven o’clock. Last year we did 50 and it took us two hours, so we must be getting better.  And everybody came out here at two or three o’clock in the morning. I appreciate it!  Thank you so much! And all the women and all the work they did, Thank you!
     Ada Morgan – We went to the corn maze on Friday (and it was good)!

Prayer Requests

I want you to be in prayer for our church as we enter into a time of discernment and trying to figure out which way everything is and there’s been one decision made and there will be several others that have to be made after this.
I want you to pray for how God would use you in this process because it’s going to take everybody pulling together to make anything work.  We the people are the church, not this building, not these grounds, but the people are the church.
Be in prayer for one another.
Be in prayer for those who are not with us this morning.
Be in prayer also that we do what God’s will is.

Thanks to all those who helped with the The David Hinson Memorial Endowment Fundraiser, Barbeque & Rib Dinner!
It took a lot of people to put this special dinner together and turn it into the great success it was.  Thank you all for your help with this community event! Your time and hard work was greatly appreciated!

**Trunk or Treat – Sunday, October 30
We will be holding a drive through Trunk or Treat on Sunday October 30 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. We need volunteers to decorate car trunks and the parking lot and to pass out candy as the cars with children pass through. More details coming soon!
Please pray as to how God would have you participate in this outreach. Invite your friends and families.
