Pine Grove Happenings 2/6/2023

Sunday, February 5th Notes:
Gordon Burleson – Anyone on the Trustee Committee or Cemetery Committee that has not gotten up with me yet, please do so as I need signatures from all of you.

Dale Burleson – I have the Pine Grove Trailer in storage.  If anyone needs to use it, please contact Pastor Ron or me and we will get you the keys.

Joys:
Michael – I’m just so glad that I’m all better now from the hospital and I thank you for your prayers and I love you all.
Michele Baucom – I’m thankful that I am back eating solid food.  After about a month, on Friday I was able to do that.
Cindy Dry – Our son Travis was supposed to leave last Saturday to go to Africa but because of the ice storms in Texas it was delayed again. So tomorrow he is supposed to get on a plane. Keep him in your prayers.
Also, we have some lovely visitors back here so if you have not met them, very nice people, be sure to introduce yourself.
Dave Howard – I got all four sides on the building in Georgia complete so there is no wind blowing through there or rain. 
Anita Walker –It was a joy last night for our Sweet Heart Dance. We had over 100 there counting all the ones that brought them in.  I want to say Thank You to all the ones that helped with than – You know who you are.  I just saw happy faces and they were glad to be there.  Its been several years since they were able to do this and we were glad we could do that for them. That was the Women’s Group and others in the church.
Pastor Ron – It was a good time! There were a lot of smiles going around and if you need a little help smiling, the next time we do that come and it will make you smile.  There were some handsome gentlemen and beautiful ladies there that were dressed up and dancing and having a ball.

Pastor Ron – Next week I’m going to change things up a little and we are going to look at “God Sightings” instead of Joys & concerns.  Think about and jot down, Where did you see God this week?

Friend of Kaylyn at Winthrop who was in a car accident.
Please be in prayer for all those having symptoms of Flu and Covid and the many other illnesses going around.

On Saturday, February 25th the Pine Grove United Methodist Men will be hosting a Community Breakfast from 7:30 am to 10:00 am in Fellowship Hall.  Volunteers are needed from 6:00 am to 11:00 am to help with cooking, serving and clean-up.  Please contact Roddy Tomberlin, Sam Lambert, or Pastor Ron if you are able to help.

Would you like to have Bulletins on Sundays again?
We need to have them done each week.  Do YOU have any clerical skills?  Can YOU copy and paste in WORD? Can YOU print, copy, and fold paper?
If you have any clerical skills and a little time, could you serve in this way?
You would be trained on what to do and how to do it.

If we can get two folks to help with this it would make it easier and you could work on it together or even take turns. (For example: one set up/the other print & fold; alternate weeks/months; month on/month off, many options).
