Communication Coordinator Needed!
Nancy L. Burleson sent the following letter on 3/11/2023 to Pine Grove United Methodist Church:

To Pine Grove’s Pastor, Church Council, and Congregation;

Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from the position of Communication Coordinator for Pine Grove UMC, effective May 1, 2023.

After prayerful consideration, I have made the decision to resign mostly because I cannot be at church, church meetings, and most events due to my obligations to my husband, John, and his care.  Secondly, I am not receiving updates or changes to dates, plans, or needed information in a timely manner.

This resignation is long overdue.  The position of Communication Coordinator needs someone who is active and present in the church on at least a weekly and monthly basis.  I will be happy to help train whoever receives this position.

Please understand, my resignation has nothing to do with the current issues going on in the church.  It has to do with the fact that for the past two years I have not been able to be present in the church’s life or events except for a very few occasions.

I wish Pine Grove Church much success and continued growth in the future.  I do plan to keep my membership active and help where and when time allows.

I thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Sincerely,

Nancy L. Burleson
